Here's my latest plastic bag, filled up with supplies for Buffy night: popcorn, more popcorn, and a copy of the local newspaper, which ran a story about zines that I was quoted in! Feeling more confident about sewing, I decided to make a skirt out of some of the way-too-many SXSW t-shirts we have lying around the house. This is made out of 2 t-shirts: one forms the front and back of the skirt, and In the side view you can see the triangular panel made from the second shirt. It was really fun to make, even though I screwed up a couple of times and had to rip out what I'd just sewn. It was worth it though -- it's now my favorite skirt, and I learned a lot by making it.
